Business and Nonprofit Partnerships:
In her role as Chief of Peace for The Shift Network, Emily brought peace education tools to a global audience. She continues on as a faculty member and consultant to The Shift Network.
Emily served on the Executive Team for Seeds of Compassion a global event with the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu that brought 150,000 people together and launched a worldwide compassion movement that pointed a spotlight on the importance of early learning in building healthier societies. In her role
as Senior Director, Ms. Hine raised over $9 million (cash and in-kind support) in less than one year, co-created the organization’s infrastructure, oversaw the management of 1200 volunteers. While moderating a panel discussion, Emily made a commitment to the Dalai Lama to expand compassion education, which she writes about in this Huffington Post article. As part of this commitment, she hosted the first online Global Compassion Summit – an educational program designed to inspire, inform and involve a global audience in the movement.
Emily Hine is on faculty with The Shift Network’s Peace Education Programs including At Peace With Yourself (October 2016) and the Peace Ambassador Training (November 2016) – a 12-week online training program that covers topics from inner peace to international peacebuilding. She is currently writing Holy Sit, a forthcoming book that chronicles her story of healing from stage II cancer naturally. She also hosts an inspirational Facebook page. Her writing and speaking engagements focus on three themes; 1) optimum health; 2) spiritual awakening; and 3) finding inner peace and compassion in a chaotic world.
